According to the experimental results, we drew some conclusions as followings. 1. The results of spraying cold test showed that the spiral nozzles used in the test were suitable for spray tower in fast pyrolysis and met the need of spray medium.
The simulation results prove that the flow field of swirl nozzle is rotational and airflow velocity and temperature get its maximum in the area near the swirl nozzle, and then both velocity field and temperature field decay quickly into the around air environment.
The results show that the empirical formula thus regressed is characterized by a comparatively good correlation. Through the formula one can predict the diameters of particles at the nozzle outlet, thus providing a theoretical basis for the design and application of spiral type nozzles.
